Jeremy Duerksen, VP Sales and Marketing
Jeremy is a committed fitness junkie with a history of participating in an eclectic mix of sports throughout his life, from baseball to cycling to dog sledding, among others. Currently training for the 2010 New York City Marathon, Jeremy is focused on running but continues to maintain an overall passion for exercise, competition and a healthy lifestyle. Throughout college, Jeremy managed youth sports programs and a cycling team, and also ran his own graphic design and marketing consulting agency. After graduating from Walla Walla University in 1999, Jeremy continued to develop his own business while at the same time working as a graphic designer in Boulder, Colorado at the Daily Camera newspaper. Shortly after moving to Colorado, Jeremy co-founded the Blue Sky Velo cycling club and as marketing director grew it from four people to nearly 400 over four years while competing as a Category 3 cyclist with numerous top 5 finishes around Colorado. At the newspaper, Jeremy quickly moved into sales where he lead the retail sales department in revenue and growth for two years before becoming the Online Advertising Manager where he trained 20+ sales consultants to sell on the web. At the end of 2007, Jeremy brought his passion for fitness in line with his career and joined Peaksware as the Director of Marketing, where he initiated new partner relationships with distribution partners like Runner's World, the Competitor Group, Outside Magazine, the American Cancer Society, American Council on Exercise (ACE) and others. Promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Peaksware at the beginning of 2010, Jeremy now leads the two teams in creative new strategies to continue providing health, fitness and nutrition solutions for rapidly growing numbers of consumers and wellness professionals. Jeremy lives in Erie, Colorado with his wife Suzanne, a couple of Siberian huskies and two Hunter/Jumper Warmblood horses.
